What caused Northwest flight 2501 bound for Minneapolis in June 1950 to crash is one of the greatest aviation mysteries the nation has ever known. Fifty-eight people died when the plane crashed into the icy waters of Lake Michigan. The airplane was never found, but Raph Wilbanks, one of the nation's top sonar operators, along with novelist Clive Cussler, continue to search for it. One Minnesota woman whose father died on the plan still looks for answers.
