Audio -- Birk on Super Bowl: 'I'm just glad we came out on top'

Matt Birk’s quest for a Super Bowl ring is over.

The St. Paul native, and ex-Viking center, anchored the Baltimore Ravens’ offensive line in a 34-31 win over the San Francisco 49ers.

Afterwards he was asked by Eric Nelson of Gamedaygold.com what it felt like to revel in the purple and gold confetti streaming down from the Superdome rooftop:

“It felt good,” Birk said. “Ray Lewis said it would change your life. I don’t know if it changed my life, but it felt pretty good.”
