Vikings warn fans of fake tickets for Packers game

A victory over Green Bay means the Minnesota Vikings will go to the playoffs. There’s no doubt a seat at the dome Sunday will be in high demand, but the Vikings are warning those much sought-after tickets could be counterfeit.

The fakes are generally sold over the Internet and by scalpers near the stadium on game day. To avoid this altogether, the Vikings advise purchasing tickets from authorized outlets that include the Vikings Ticket Office, Ticketmaster and the NFL TicketExchange.

Check to make sure your tickets are real:

–The price on the stadium map on the team’s website matches the ticket price.

–A ticket number in sequential order is printed three times in red ink.

–If tickets are printed on Ticketmaster stock, their most likely fake.

The game starts at 3:25 p.m. at Mall of America Field.
