Ponder: Peterson is NFL MVP

Christian Ponder says the MVP of the National Football League is in the Vikings backfield. On Dan Patrick’s radio show today, Ponder said Adrian Peterson is a freak of nature, and if he’s not the league’s best right now, he doesn’t know who is.

Peterson is listed as one of the pleasant suprises of the season so far, according to Brian Hall of FOX Sports North. Hall also takes a look at the lack of distractions, the strong and accurate leg of Blair Walsh and more.

Hall also points out the five most unpleasant surprises of the season so far. Unfortunately, as Hall points out, the run defense and lack of production from Jerome Simpson and John Carlson have been major disappointments.
