Norm Coleman's group to pour $500K more into Cravaack campaign

A conservative nonprofit group founded by former U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman is infusing $500,000 more into the re-election campaign of Republican Rep. Chip Cravaack, Minnesota Public Radio reported.

The American Action Network, based in Washington, D.C., has reportedly already spent $1.7 million on hotly contested 8th District race between Cravaack and his Democratic challenger, former Rep. Rick Nolan.

Reports Friday revealed that spending by outside groups on the Cravaack-Nolan race is the sixth highest in the nation.
