Four juveniles were arrested following a fight at Walker-Hackensack-Akeley High School Wednesday, FOX9 reports. Police responded after the school requested help for an altercation between students.
According to news release from the school district, a verbal altercation between several students began in the cafeteria over the lunch hour. Four students left the school and were met by law enforcement.
The Pioneer Press says an officer was attacked when police attempted to detain one of the students. No other students or staff members were injured.
FOX9 says Cass County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Walker Police Department, Leech Lake Tribal Police, Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office, the Minnesota State Patrol and the Department of Natural Resources responded.
The district canceled school for the rest of the week. Classes will resume Monday.
