Lynx Coach Cheryl Reeve says the traffic stop involving Seimone Augustus by Roseville police Monday is a case of racial profiling, the Star Tribune reports.
Augustus sounded off on Twitter after she was pulled over for an air freshener hanging from her rearview mirror. The Lynx guard was then questioned about theft in the area and her out of state plates.
The Star Tribune says the Roseville Police Chief called Augustus on Tuesday to go over the incident and she says they had a good conversation.
Here’s another look at those tweets:

Supposedly he stop me for an air freshner hanging in my window, but then went on talking about theft at the mall

I didn’t know you can only drive minnesota cars to a minnesota mall and if not you must be stealing or doing something illegal.

So my air freshner allowed shoplifters to have a field day at the mall this morning! Officer W. Chau #155 said he wanted to do a great job!

Well… I guess that goes to show no one is above the air freshner law in minnesota! Even when you have out of town plates!

In the words of W. Chau #155 when you are in MINNESOTA you have to follow minnesota law!
