Toyota recalls 7.4 million vehicles for a faulty power-window switch

Toyota Motor Co. is recalling more than 7.4 million vehicles around the world due to a potential fire hazard, NBC News reports. It is the largest auto recall in 16 years. According to a company news release, the voluntary safety recall affects about 2.5 million Toyota models sold in the United States between 2005 and 2010, including Corolla, Camry and Highlander.

The Japanese automaker has been plagued with safety issues since 2009.

Toyota has 27 car dealerships throughout Minnesota.
