Lawyer: county's investigation of Mankato coach found no child porn, abuse

The attorney for Minnesota State University-Mankato football coach Todd Hoffner says Blue Earth County investigators have found no evidence of child abuse against Hoffner. The Mankato Free Press reports letters from a  social worker to Hoffner indicate the county found no need for child protection services.

Hoffner is now asking the county attorney to drop the child porn charges against him. They were filed in August after videos of his children in the nude were found on Hoffner’s university-issued cell phone.

Hoffner and his wife maintained the videos were innocent family movies of kids clowning around. Hoffner has been on administrative leave from his coaching job since mid-August.
