DFL candidate Jim Graves on Wednesday released his first two ads targeting his 6th District opponent Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., one of which is critical of the incumbent for her response to the Verso Paper Mill closing.
The spot includes workers from Sartell’s Verso paper mill, which closed after a fire gutted it earlier this year. Employees in the ad say Bachmann did not reach out to them. (Bachmann’s campaign hasn’t responded; she did meet with plant officials after they announced the plant would close, MPR notes.) The $60,000 spots are a relatively small investment for television ads in the Twin Cities, the Pioneer Press notes.

The other ad is a get-to-know the candidate spot, which touts the business skill of the hotelier who launched the AmericInn chain.
