Five Minnesotans are among the wealthiest in the country

Five Minnesotans made Forbes list of the 400 richest people in America. Barbara Carlson Gage and Marilyn Carlson Nelson topped the Minnesota list with a net worth of $4 billion dollars. Whitney MacMillan with Cargill, Stanley Hubbard, CEO of Hubbard Broadcasting, and Glen Taylor, the owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves, also made the list.

In March, the same five people, as well as Best Buy founder Richard Schulze, made Forbes 2011 list of the world’s billionaires. Schulze, whose residence is listed in Florida, is also featured on the top 400 list released on Wednesday. The 71-year-old abruptly step down as chairman of the board in June and is looking to take the electronics giant private.
