Obama greets Lynx at White House

It’s been almost a year since the Minnesota Lynx won the WNBA championship, but with three players on the U.S. Olympic squad, and President Obama’s schedule, their White House trip was delayed.
The wait ended today when Obama greeted the team in a special ceremony to honor their 2011 accomplishments.

In return, Obama recieved a championship Lynx jersey (No. 11) for his collection:

Before the visit, Lynx forward Maya Moore said it’s a “humbling experience” to walk into the White House. She’s been there before, twice as a member of the Connecticut women’s basketball team’s back-to-back NCAA titles in 2009 and 2010.
