Secret Service investigates New Ulm council candidate

New Ulm City Council candidate Ron Larsen last spring sent a letter to a judge during a legal dispute over his being taken off the Minnesota Unemployment Insurance program, the New Ulm Journal reports.

In it, he noted that he had a nagging feeling that he was put on earth for a specific purpose: “to take down a sitting U.S. president,” the newspaper reported. Then he sent a copy to President Obama. So a U.S. Secret Service agent paid him a visit in mid-May, the newspaper says, although not much came of it.
