C) On Sept. 17, 1961, the Vikings defeated the Chicago Bears at Metropolitan Stadium, 37-13, in a stunning upset. Only two victories would follow in that inaugural year, against the Baltimore Colts and the Los Angeles Rams, as Minnesota finished 3-11 (it was a 14-game schedule back then.)
