Where is the Mr. Taconite statue?

B) The Mr. Taconite statue is in Silver Bay, home of the former Reserve Mining Company, which processed taconite. That plant opened on this day in 1955. Taconite had been developed in 1919 in Babbitt, but large-scale production wasn’t begun until Edward W. Davis (the real Mr. Taconite) had perfected a method to process it and the richer parts of the iron ranges had been mined out.
