Employment prospects in Minnesota remain positive in 4th quarter

The latest Manpower Employment Outlook survey shows 17 percent of Minnesota employers plan to increase their workforce in the final three months of 2012, Finance & Commerce reports. Twenty percent of employers in the Twin Cities plan to hire in the fourth quarter.

Last month,the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development reported job vacancies climbed 15 percent in the second quarter compared with the same period a year ago.

Minnesota’s jobless rate in July was to 5.8 percent. The jobs report for August comes out on Sept. 20.
