Ex-employee sells Geek Squad badge to finance startup

Former Geek Squad employee Adam DeWolf of Texas has put his “Special Agent” badge up for sale on Ebay with the hope of fundraising for his own computer repair company, the Star Tribune says. Geek Squad founder Robert Stephens couldn’t be happier. “If he does a great job, we look like a great launch pad for the industry,” Stephens told the newspaper.

The Business Journal reports there a couple of later-edition Geek Squad badges for sale out there for less than $200.

So far, DeWolf has not received any bids. Bidding starts at $1,000.
