Love turns in 10 points, 11 rebounds as U.S. moves into semi-finals

The Timberwolves’ Kevin Love came off the bench to contribute a double-double for the USA in the 119-86 quarter-final victory over Australia.

Five Americans scored in double figures, led by Kobe Bryant’s 20. It was a breakout game for Bryant, whom some had suggested was missing in action during these Olympics. Love made a cameo appearance in Bryant’s post-game television interview.

In the semi-finals the U.S. will face an Argentine squad led by Manu Ginobli. Ginobli says Argentina can win — if they play the perfect game.
