Local web designer's Cat Olympics photos go viral

Minneapolis web designer Nicholas Longtin was inspired by his own cats to create a photo collection he calls Cat Olympics, CityPages reports.

Like so many cat-inspired web features before it, the collection went viral, with hundreds of thousands of clicks. BoingBoing helped fuel the instant popularity of the photos.

Mashable has more of the story of how Longtin put the collection together and how it went viral. “I’ve gotten a lot of great comments and feedback,” he says. “I would love to do full motion video clips as well but the processes is much more time consuming so it may have to wait until the next Olympics.”
