Eagan man to serve 1 year for stealing mom's nest egg

Ward Allen Knutson, 47, of Eagan, will serve a year in the county workhouse and pay restitution of $111,000 for emptying his mother's retirement fund of hundreds of thousands of dollars that he used to fuel his lifestyle. The case drew attention to the growing financial abuse of seniors.
