Blue Cross of Minnesota CEO Burdrick departs after disclosure problems

Kenneth Burdrick is no longer the CEO of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota after just being appointed to the post in January. The board of directors decided the Eagan-based insurer “required a different style of leadership" after an internal investigation involving "concerns related to whether there had been adequate disclosure of some anticipated business activities." Scott Lynch, senior vice president and chief legal officer, was named interim Blue Cross CEO effectively immediately. The board expects to hire a new top executive in 60 to 90 days.
