What's on tap this weekend: Minnesota-made brews

This weekend the first annual All Pints North Summer Brew Fest kicks off in Duluth. A celebration of locally-made beer, a wide variety of craft brews will be available for sampling. Can’t get to Duluth? There are plenty of other beer-tasting opportunities around the state. Breweries open their doors to visitors interested in a tour of the brewhouse, a lesson on the finer points of lagers, ales and stouts, or simply to taste the different varieties on tap. Here are just a handful of local breweries you can visit anytime.

All Pints North Summer Brew Fest
The first annual Northbound Summer Brew Fest will celebrate beer brewed in Minnesota by breweries and brew pubs, plus a few select regional craft brands. Join us on the lake to meet the brewers and enjoy amazing Minnesota craft beers, hip food vendors, beer-centered activities and educational components, live music and entertainment, and much more!

August Schell Brewery
Schell’s is the second oldest family-owned brewery in the country. While microbreweries and beer trends have come and gone, we’ve been right here, tirelessly brewing fine lagers and ales for the people who appreciate them. Visit our brewery grounds and see deer, roaming peacocks, not to mention barrel after barrel of the finest beers imaginable. That’s just who we are, as it has been for over a century.

Flat Earth Brewing Company
Flat Earth Brewing Company. The Saint Paul brewery featured in local beer establishments across the Twin Cities, Flat Earth offers hand-crafted beers, daily sample tastings and weekly tours.

Lake Superior Brewing Company
Duluth’s only microbrewery, originally located in Fitgers, now located on West Superior Street. We offer and enjoy giving free tours! Just call ahead and we will gladly set up a time. Individuals or groups welcome.

Lift Bridge Brewing Company
The mission of Lift Bridge Beer Company is simple: To create fine beers for you to enjoy! It is our pleasure to supply you with what you need to help you slow down and enjoy life. Whether that is a Farm Girl Saison, Crosscut Pale Ale, an American Pale Ale or any of our other seasonal specialties, we want to brew it our way! We hope that through every bottle and tap pull, you taste the history of our city, the pride and fun we have in its creation, and the uncompromising natural ingredients and brewing process utilized.

Mankato Brewery
Mankato Brewery is proud to revive the brewing tradition in the Key City. Mankato Brewery is the first production brewery in the community since 1967. Focused on creating authentic beers that reflect the heritage of the region and its people, the crew at Mankato Brewery invites you to try our beer and to experience local flavor.

Summit Brewing Company
During the tour, visitors will learn the history of Summit Brewing Company, the process for making Summit beer and will take a walking tour of the brewhouse, cellar and packaging area. At the conclusion of the tour, visitors ages 21 and older can enjoy three samples of their favorite Summit brands of beer and shop in the brewery gift shop.

Vine Park Brewing Co.
Minnesota’s most unusual brewery; here you can be the brewer or wine maker. We make it easy as 1-2-3. Choose from more than 50 beer recipes and come make them with friends or family. Growlers of hand crafted small batch all-grain beer are also available for purchase.
