Patient art explores meaning, symbolism and healing imagery

As the presenting sponsor for 89.3 The Current’s Rock the Cradle 2012 event, Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota hosted a community art project for event attendees to promote the importance of art in healing and in keeping kids healthy. Children’s partnered with COMPAS artists to design and implement a workshop that explored the symbolism of the circle. Using colors and shapes, parents and kids created elaborate designs on paper tiles that were combined to create a large Circle Scape mural collage. “Circle Scapes”, along with one other, was recently installed across from the Peter Pan gift shop at Children’s hospital in St. Paul.
