Beer battle brewing: Minnesota vs. Wisconsin

It’s time to go to war again with Wisconsin. No, it’s not time (yet) for the Vikings vs. Packers or Gophers vs. Badgers.

Think Schell vs. Point and Third Street vs. Valkyrie.

Wisconsin has nearly 100 breweries and brewpubs and Minnesota has closer to 40, WCCO reports.

And at the Border Battle Beer Fest event July 14, you can sample some of the best the two states have to offer. There’s also music and camping.

Judges will be choosing a favorite, but the real goal of the event is to continue to grow consumer interest in microbrews.
