Goodbye BCS, hello 4-team NCAA playoff

The Bowl Championship Series (BCS) in Division I college football is coming to an end. A committee of University presidents approved a plan Tuesday to eliminate the BCS in favor of a four-team playoff format beginning in 2014. The BCS has been in place since 1998.
