Where do Minnesota companies stand on gay marriage?

A few of Minnesota’s most high-profile corporations have waded into the contentious debate over gay marriage. The debate is heating up this summer in advance of a fall vote on a proposed constitutional amendment that would effectively ban same-sex marriages.

The Pioneer Press has a list of major companies with their stances.

This week, General Mills said it was opposed to the amendment.

Target has not taken a stance on the amendment but has been in the bull’s eye of the controversy, in part for selling “pride” T-shirts.

The National Organization for Marriage, a leading supporter of the amendment, has asked businesses to stay out of the debate.
