Gophers' football season opens with a 10 p.m. CT kickoff at UNLV

The Golden Gophers football team will open the 2012 season with a 10:00 p.m. CT kickoff in Las Vegas against UNLV. It’s a late start, but temperatures in the Vegas in late August usually push the 100 degree envelope. Minnesota’s Big Ten opener is an 11:00 a.m. CT kickoff in Iowa against the Hawkeyes.
