Ex-Twins Dickey, Slowey scale highest mound to date

Former teammates and pitchers R.A. Dickey and Kevin Slowey are poised to begin their climb of Mount Kilimanjaro, which stands 19,340 feet high. The trek will raise money for rescuing girls from sex trafficking. Dickey's current team- the New York Mets- have objected to the climb. Slowey- who plays for the Rockies- says he has the team's blessing.
